About Me

I'm Shannon Molloy. I'm a critically acclaimed, best-selling author and an award-winning journalist. I've worked in some of the country's biggest newsrooms, covering everything from breaking news and politics to entertainment and property.

In 2020, I was named Journalist of the Year at the Publish Awards.

I'm a Senior Reporter at news.com.au, Australia's number one news website.

My debut memoir Fourteen was longlisted for an ABIA Award, one of Booktopia's Best of 2020 titles, an Audible Top 20 audiobook and one of Good Reading's Best of 2020 picks. It was turned into a sell-out hit stage production that toured the country in 2024, and is now being adapted for the screen.

My second book You Made Me This Way has been declared a ‘genre-defying feat of storytelling’.

In 2022, Fourteen was adapated by the stage for Brisbane Festival by Shake + Stir Theatre Company. It was a sell-out smash hit, seeing it tour Australia two years later. After taking in 17 stops across the country over five months, some 25,000 people came to see the story brought to light in vivid colour.
